“El tema no ha sido planteado”, eso fue lo que dijo el ministro de Economía, Marcelo Montenegro, cuando fue consultado en conferencia de prensa si se había abordado la demanda de la Central Obrera Bolivia (COB), sobre un incremento salarial al haber básico y al mínimo.
En conferencia de prensa, que se realizó tras la reunión con los empresarios, el ministro Montenegro sostuvo que se abordaron temas de productividad, de exportaciones y de intercambio de información.
“Han sido los temas que han planteado y que son de importancia para el sector. Hemos ido contestando esas inquietudes y han establecido que son importantes estas reuniones”, explicó Montenegro.
Cuando se le consultó sobre cuál iba a ser el porcentaje de incremento salarial, tomando en cuenta que faltan pocos días para el 1 de mayo, fecha en la que el Gobierno suele anunciar el alza de cada año, el ministro señaló que lo están evaluando con la COB.
“Estamos evaluando con las mesas de negociación con la COB, todos esos aspectos serán explicitados”, manifestó.
El presidente de los empresarios privados de Bolivia, Luis Barbery, señaló que en relación a una alza salarial, su sector no ha cambiado de posición. “Lo que suceda es responsabilidad del Gobierno”, manifestó.
Tras conocerse el pedido de la COB sobre el alza salarial, varios sectores manifestaron que no estaban en condiciones de incrementar salarios y que incluso podía afectar a los empleos.
